Health Volunteers Overseas is excited to collaborate with the open-access journal Frontiers in Public Health Education and Promotion on a one-time, special edition e-journal titled International Partnerships for Strengthening Health Care Workforce Capacity: Models of Collaborative Education. Detailed information about this Research Topic can be accessed by clicking here.
TOPICS OF INTEREST:
This Research Topic seeks scholarly articles that examine educational partnerships in health care in order to analyze and discuss effective, widely applicable strategies to increase the accessibility, quality, safety and supply of health care in resource-scarce countries. Topics of interest will focus on collaborative education initiatives designed to strengthen the global health workforce capacity and may include (but are not limited to):
In addition to all usual journal criteria for publication, editors of this special edition seek balance across specific interventions, sites, and cultural contexts. Papers should clarify how specific experiences, evidence, analysis, and conclusions might be applied in more general contexts. At the same time, candor in presenting and assessing the limitations of studies will be considered as strengths. Ideally, papers will be developed collaboratively with co-authors from institutions based in resource-scarce countries.
All those working in this space are welcome to participate as authors and/or reviewer editors; members of the HVO community are of course highly encouraged to contribute. HVO is sponsoring the publication of this research topic and therefore authors will not be required to cover publication fees for accepted articles.
