The start of the New Year marks a time for reflection and resolution. Tradition calls for setting goals that improve our lives, our world and ourselves.
At Health Volunteers Overseas, we are resolved to transform lives by strengthening the global health workforce through education and training. We will cultivate new and current partnerships to bring education and professional development opportunities to health workers. We will uphold our values of innovation, partnership, stewardship and excellence. We will work toward quality health care for all people.
These resolutions are not new to HVO, but the New Year provides an excellent opportunity to reaffirm our resolve – and invite members of our community to do the same. We invite you to join us as we work toward our vision for a world where all people have access to high quality health care delivered by local health workers.
In 2019, we look forward to:
- answering new requests for support;
- expanding, diversifying and promoting our projects and global partnerships;
- facilitating dialogue around strengthening health workforce capacity and supporting continued research into best practices;
- strengthening and expanding our organizational capacity;
- sharing more stories of impact;
- ensuring quality care is available to all by working together with our stakeholders; and
- welcoming YOU as a volunteer, member and/or supporter.
