Each year, HVO Executive Director Nancy Kelly reaches out to some of our most loyal supporters with this message:
We need your help to spread the word and expand support for HVO’s mission to improve global health through education!
In these final months of the year, please give your friends and colleagues the opportunity to become part of the story too by investing in this work. By taking a few minutes to identify at least 5 friends or colleagues who you think might have an interest in global health and giving them the chance to support HVO, you can greatly improve the resources HVO has available to recruit and prepare highly-qualified volunteers.
We wanted to share this request with our whole community this year because each one of you can make a significant impact, raising awareness and expanding the HVO network.
Sharing HVO with your friends, family and colleagues can go a long way as we strive to raise the funds necessary to run the programs that educate, train and empower health workers in resource-scarce countries. (Last year, friend-raising efforts by HVO leadership helped to raise $30,000, which launched more than 10 new projects in 2016, recruited new volunteers, and continues to transform lives!)
