Apply for the Warfield Scholarship for Anesthesia Professionals
The Warfield Scholarship for Anesthesia Professionals will fund the professional development of anesthesia providers (both physicians and non-physician anesthetists) from HVO project sites. The Warfield Scholarship supports local health workers in resource-scarce countries by enabling them to pursue new training and professional development opportunities that improve their knowledge and expand their global network. These funds can support attendance at international or regional professional meetings, workshops, or other training opportunities including online short courses.
To qualify for the Warfield Scholarship, applicants:
- Must work/study at an overseas HVO project site. Candidates may include local anesthesia providers – both physician and non-physician anesthetists – at HVO anesthesia and nurse anesthesia sites.
- Must have an identified training opportunity in order to apply.
- Eligible opportunities for funding include: international or regional professional meetings, workshops, or other training opportunities including online short courses.
Successful applicants may receive funding for travel and lodging, meeting registration expenses, or course fees, but applicants are responsible for all costs associated with obtaining a passport and any necessary visas.
